WEIGHTED VEST


The weighted vest is a very simple training material, because it consists of a vest that we put on the upper body (on the trunk), which has the possibility of adding weight bags (usually sandbags). Therefore, its function is to artificially increase body weight, increasing the intensity of any exercise we do, since we are forced to exert more force.




But its main advantage over other systems in which we add resistance is that the vest is attached to our body, so the exercises are more functional, since most actions of everyday life and sports are done with your own body weight, without having to hold any additional material. In this way, after working with a vest we will feel lighter.



In short, its advantages are:
  •   Functional
  • Possibility of modifying the weight
  • Relatively comfortable
  • Infinity of exercises to perform
  • Transportable and easy to store
When buying a weighted vest you have to take into account several things:
  • Sandbags or weight plates?
  • Different sizes or one size?
  • If the vest is ballasted from the factory or if we can configure the weight (better to configure it to choose how much weight and where we distribute)
  •  Design, comfort and wear resistance.
  •  How much weight can we add to the vest?
